Coronavirus information

Updated 7th November 2021

The hall is now fully open with no restrictions. We just ask that you are considerate of others when organising your activity or event which may mean continuing to social distance or to wear face masks, especially around those who are clinically more vulnerable.
We welcome everyone who has been fully vaccinated.

Updated 19th July 2021

In line with the easing of government restrictions on July 19th, the hall is now fully open.
Restrictions will no longer apply in the hall and all risks must now be managed by hirers. Please be considerate of others when organising your activity or event; this may mean continuing to social distance or to wear face masks, especially around those who are clinically more vulnerable or not yet fully vaccinated. Good ventilation is key to reducing virus transmission, so take advantage of the summer weather to open the windows and doors.
We do ask that all hirers act carefully to manage risk to themselves and others, and we will still display our QR code to enable hall users to record their details with the NHS Test and Trace system.

Updated 15th June 2021

Following the govenment's announcements yesterday, we will be unable to fully re-open the hall on June 21st as anticipated.
We will continue to hire the hall in accordance with the May 17th changes, with bookings subject to our Covid secure rules. See the links at the bottom of this page for full details on extra conditions.

Updated 27th April 2021

In accordance with the government regulations, we hope to open in a limited capacity from May 17th, with full opening after June 21st. We anticipate that the Covid restrictions detailed below in the 21st Aug 2020 update will still apply for a while.

After 17th May 2021 organised adult and children's activities, including exercise classes, can resume in a Covid secure venue, subject to the 'rule of 6' . No private parties apart from 'significant life events', eg weddings and funerals, will be allowed and there is a limit of 30 people at these events.
Outdoor bookings can take place with a maximum of 30 people; use of the kitchen and toilets for these bookings is allowed subject to the rule of 6.

From 21st June 2021 it is hoped that all social distancing restrictions will be lifted, and we can fully re-open.

For further details on what is and isn't allowed, please see the government guidelines.

Updated 21st Aug 2020

Now that the government has eased restrictions on village halls, we will have a limited re-opening of the hall on Sept 1st.  Initially we are taking bookings for small groups that we judge to be low risk, and from our regular groups; as the situation changes we hope that we will be able to expand the range of acceptable bookings.

In order to be Covid secure we have introduced some changes to the hall, and all hirers will now have to agree to extra terms and conditions. In brief, the changes in the hall are that:
all bookings will now take place in the main hall:
the small hall will only be used as a one-way through route to the loo, and we have closed all but the disabled loo to stop congestion in the corridor:
all hirers are asked to observe current social distancing rules, clean surfaces, wash hands frequently, and wear face coverings except when participating in an exercise activity.

We have produced a Risk Assessment for the hall, and ask that hirers also complete an assessment for their own activity.
